Welcome to Hands of Compassion

Hands of Compassion is a Christian Community headed by Ps Alan and Ps Xana McCauley. Started in February 1987, and based in Johannesburg, we have chosen to live simply so that others may simply live. Our emphasis is on Recovery, Restoration and Reconciliation. Up to 120 residents experience life at all levels and learn to accept each other. Some of us come to serve in a real and practical way, and others, who have been broken and rejected by society, come to be restored.

James 2:17 So you see, faith by itself isn’t enough. Unless it produces good deeds, it is dead and useless. 

We are funded mainly through donations.
