Children's Homes
We have 2 registered children’s homes which serve as places of safety for children in need of care, placed with us by the Children’s Court.
Hands of Compassion Children’s Home is part of our Community in Lanseria, and accommodates 36 children.
The Rhema Children’s Village accommodates 70 children from the ages of 6 to 18 years and is situated in Yeoville, across the road from the Johannesburg Stadium.
Our children are cared for by child care workers.
They have their own dining hall and recreational facilities, library, study and computer room; they receive support with homework, career opportunities, and counseling. Volunteers assist with outings, birthdays and arts and crafts classes.
Our focus is to stabilize our children and offer them hope and inspiration to overcome their past and develop into responsible and happy adults.
Schooling, sports, life skills development and Christian teachings are incorporated into their daily routines.
Our Social Workers work together with the children and their families, offering counseling and training.
Our ultimate aim is to re-unite the families and equip them so they in turn may build their future together.
Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.
