Soccer World Cup

Did we feel it? Yes we did! The 2010 Fifa World Cup has (unfortunately) come and gone, and it was fantastic!

But besides all the superb soccer we've witnessed over the past month, it seems that God has had some fancy foot-work of his own:
Kaka (Ricardo Leite) - a committed Christian, following and serving God for most of his life - teamed up with another God-server, Sondra Sottile (American Film Director) and together they have created a 50 minute documentary about the spiritual, moral and physical sides of the football star's life.

Sondra connected with Rhema Bible Church and organized with Pastor Alan McCauley for Rhema to host the first public screening of the DVD, and on the 27th of June, the film was shown to our congregation.

But God didn't stop there. We became the primary distributors of the DVD in South Africa, issuing 150 000 free copies nationwide (even a few, personally signed by Kaka, were given to some of the Bafana Bafana team!)
The DVDs reached schools, churches and soccer stadiums all over South Africa.

We thank Sondra, Kaka and of course God for the great opportunity to speak into people's lives during such an important and exciting time in our nation.
